FAQS for Israel February 2024 Tour

Q: Can children go on this tour?

A:  Due to hotel policies, the minimum age is 12 years old at time of departure.

Q:  Can we have 3 people in a room?

A:  The rooms will only have two twin beds (which will be pushed together for couples).  If you want to have a third person in the room, it would be a rollaway bed and the price for that person would be virtually the same as the regular price.  This might work for a child but it is not recommended for 3 adults.

Q:  What if I want to purchase insurance?

A:  After you make your final payment, we recommend that you purchase insurance.  You may choose any travel insurance plan that you want.  We have compiled a few options here:

  1. Best for Comprehensive Coverage:  Allianz Travel Insurance

  2. Best for International Travel Medical Coverage:  GeoBlue

  3. Best Optional Coverages:  AIG Travel Guard

  4. Best for COVID-19 Coverage:  Generali Global Assistance

  5. Best for Adventure Travelers:  World Nomads Travel Insurance

  6. Best Comparison Site:  Squaremouth

Q:  What will the weather be like in February?

A:  Generally, the daytime weather will be in the 50s in Jerusalem,  60s in Tiberias, and 70s at the Dead Sea.  It’s a fairly dry climate, but rain is always possible. We tour rain or shine, so be sure to get a good poncho.

Q:  What should I pack?

A:  We will provide a packing list as we get closer to departure.

Q:  What if I don’t have a passport, or my passport isn’t current?

A:  If you don’t have a passport, apply ASAP, and make a copy or take a picture of  the information page where you filled out your name and DOB.

If you have an expired passport, we’ll need a copy of that for now.  Renew your passport ASAP and provide us a copy of the new one when it arrives.

Q:  How will I get to/from Miami?

A:  As we get closer to departure, we will offer an option to take a bus from the church.  Or you can drive – there are many parking options near the airport.

Q: Will I need to exchange money?

A:  American dollars are accepted almost everywhere in Israel.  You won’t need to exchange money.  Visa/Mastercard are the most widely accepted credit cards internationally.

Q:  How should I dress?

A:  Comfortable walking shoes, casual pants, jeans, shirts, t-shirts. Layers, layers, layers. The temperature changes from morning to evening. You might want to dress nicer for dinner but it’s not necessary.  Shorts are OK at the Dead Sea.

Q:  Will we be doing a lot of walking?

A:  Yes!  We will be walking about 5-7 miles a day.  Some of the parks we will visit will have rocks and other terrain that may be challenging for some.

Q:  Do I need electrical converter/adapter?

A:  You will need plug adapters because the prongs are different.  Apple products and most phones and tablets won’t require a converter.  Other items like hair dryers, etc. may require a converter.  However, all the hotels we are staying in have hair dryers. Their current is 220v.

Q:  Will WiFi be available?

A:  The tour bus will have WiFi and USB chargers.  Hotels usually have WiFi.

Q:  How much luggage can I bring?

A:  You are allowed one checked bag, one carry-on bag, and one personal item (purse, small backpack, laptop bag).
