About the Weekend
Time camping isn’t spent, it’s invested! Join us for our annual Calvary Campout at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground. All Calvary Church members are welcome Friday, February 15 through Monday, February 18, 2019. Cost is $25pp for 2 nights and $35pp for 3 nights. Includes tent camping, firewood, Smore's Friday and dinner Saturday night.
Registration will be open December 1st-23rd.
After this date, if spots are still available, an additional $5pp will be assessed for late registration.
Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground is located in Orlando. It is a wonderful place to camp and has been the host for this annual campout for the past 8 years. A short walk leads to the center for various activities including Chip and Dale's outdoor theatre, heated pool and hot tub, arcade, tennis courts, fish pond, and camp store. Heated restrooms, hot showers, and ice machines are available in the group area.
PLEASE NOTE: There is no electric on the sites, we can not run extension cords, and no generators are allowed in the group area. Please plan accordingly.
BRING BIKES! There are excellent bike trails, and it makes transportation around the park more comfortable.
Family-friendly worship and teaching Sunday morning at 8:45am.
Some folks do go into Disney Parks, but most just take advantage of all the campground has to offer. Sorry, no pets are allowed in the group camping area. Quiet hour is 11:00 pm. Please be considerate of the noise after this hour.
There will be a Meet and Greet Smore's Party around the Orange section Campfire 6:30-7:30 pm Friday. All meals except for Saturday night are on your own. We will share a community meal provided by Calvary Church Saturday at 6pm. Each family will bring their own drinks to the community meal.
Bring coffee and a French press or stovetop percolator. The camp store has coffee, but does not open until 8am.
For those who want to eat out; dining options are available within the resort, but can be pricey.
No electric on the tent sites, please plan accordingly.
Camping can be CHILLY; temperature could be in the low 50's at night.
A sleeping bag rated 20 degrees, or down bedding, should keep you warm.
During the daytime temperatures can be comfortable for swimming, so bring your bathing suits!
There is a hot tub located near the pools.
