KINDERGARTEN THROUGH FOURTH GRADE

Faith Lab is for Kindergarten through Fourth Grade. In Faith Lab we believe the Bible should never be boring, worship can be really loud and good leaders always care. The focus in Faith Lab is our small group environment. We want kids to see how God’s Word fits into their lives, to learn how to talk to Him, and to build friendships that will last. That’s why we dig into God’s Word, examine it and test it each week and why your children should BE THERE!

Here is a typical morning in the Faith Lab:

• Welcome – a small group leader greets each child in the Lab. Kids connect in an on-going activity where they will interact with their peers and other small group leaders. This connecting time allows for a time of reconnecting with old friends and making some new friends
• Large Group Environment – Shortly after arriving, kids are moved to their large group environment where they hear the Bible lesson. We use costumes, props, and characters from the story – anything that makes the Bible come to life. We also carve out time each week for kids to sing as loud as they want and tell God how much they love Him.
• Small Group Environment – After participating in worship, kids travel back to their small group classroom where their leaders help them understand how the day’s bottom line can fit into their everyday life. Small Group Leaders in the Faith Lab are serious about having fun with kids and passionate about teaching the TRUTH. We want kids to see how God’s Word fits into their lives, to learn how to talk to Him, and to build relationships that will last. Every Sunday they connect with the same small group of kids (if you attend the same service each week), that way they get connected and we have the best opportunity to establish a relationship that’s going to matter when they need it most.

Small groups are divided: Kindergarten/1st and 2nd graders/3rd and 4th graders

Promotion into the next small group or into ZONE 56 will take place the second week in August just before school starts.

The curriculum we use for Faith Lab is Group Publishing’s INSIDE/OUT.

ZONE 56 is our ministry to 5th and 6th graders. Using Group’s Hands On curriculum provides some age relevant teaching with an interactive fast paced lesson plan. There’s never a dull moment in class with the lively discussion, interactive object lessons and a time of In - Depth Bible study. Your preteens won’t want to miss it!

Sixth Graders are invited to also join the Calvary Student Ministry here at the church on Wednesday nights from 6:30 - 8:30
